Synopsis for this short documentary I filmed, directed, and edited: “For Carmen and Silvia Zuvieta, the deportation of husband and father, Roman, was not just destructive, it was defining. That event became the catalyst for these two generations of Latina women to become leaders in their communities in the fight for undocumented people’s rights. Las Zuvietas spotlights the fierce spirit of immigrant individuals finding their fighting voice.”
